Born in Iraq, Sheikh Afeefuddin Al-Jailani is the 18th direct descendant of the famous Saint, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Al-Jailani Al-Hassani, and is the 33rd direct descendant of Prophet Muhammad, salallahu alaihi wasallam. He is a leader of the Al-Qadriyah Spiritual Order and specializes in Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), Shariah (Islamic Law) and Tasawwuf (Islamic Spirituality).
He is the Head of Darul Qadriyah International and the Chairman of Al-Wariseen Trust (Malaysia) and he regularly participates in many Humanity and Islamic seminars and conferences to share the message and beauty of Islam in the Middle East, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Sri Lanka, United States, Indonesia, and others.

Introduction The reason behind the creation of human beings is the worship and servitude of Almighty Allah. The bondsmen of Allah express their powerlessness before Him and worship Him. They try to please Him and are always anxious to gain His approval. The Lord Almighty grants them the reward for this in this world and the hereafter. He grants them high stations and grants them the status of sainthood which is indeed a great station which is granted in lieu of the worship and mortification of the self. There are some lucky people whom Almighty Allah grants acceptance without any worship performed and seats them on the station of sainthood. T he venerable Muhyiddin Abu Muhammad &#;Abdul-Qadir al-Jilani, may his soul be sanctified, is al-ghawth al-a&#;zam — the manifestation of Allah&#;s attribute &#;the All-Powerful&#;, who hears the cry for help and saves the ones in need, and al-qutb al-a&#;zam — the pole, the centre, the summit of spiritual evolution, the spiritual ruler of the world, the source of wisdom, container of all knowledge, the example of faith and Islam; a true inheritor of the perfection of the Prophet Muhammad; a perfect man; and the founder of the Qadiriyya, the mystical order that has spread far and wide and preserved the true meaning of Islamic Sufism throughout these centuries until our time.
He was born in A.H. ( C.E.), in the region called al-Jil in what is today Iran. This date is based on his statement to his son that he was eighteen when he went to Baghdad, in the year that the famous scholar al-Tamim died. This was A.H.
