Omid Soltani (Persian: امید سلطانی , born July 28, &#;), known better by his stage name Omid (امید), or known as "The Voice", is a popular Iranian singer.[1] Omid has released eight albums and several singles during his music career.[2] Omid is known as one of the Top 10 successful young Superstars in Persian music industry.[3][not in citation given]

Omid was born in Aligudarz and raised in Tehran, and began painting, singing and calligraphy in the third grade, becoming involved in art & music. He won several awards in middle school and high school. At 21 years old (), he appeared in front of the Iran-Iraq war. Then, he moved to Istanbul, Turkey to pursue his education to be an architect. He was working as a professional singer in famous cabarets in Turkey during his school years.
