Andrew Klavan is the author of such internationally bestselling crime novels as True Crime, filmed by Clint Eastwood, Don’t Say A Word, filmed and starring Michael Douglas and Empire of Lies. Stephen King called him “the most original novelist of crime and suspense since Cornell Woolrich.” He has been nominated for the Mystery Writers of America’s Edgar Award five times and has won twice. Andrew Klavan Biography
Andrew Klavan is an American award-winning writer well known for his crime and suspense novels. Nevertheless, he has also worked in films and as an essayist and video satirist. He is also known for being the Edgar Award five times nominee and won twice. In addition, he is also a Conservative commentator and the host of The Andrew Klavan Show Podcast on The Daily Wire.
He attended the University of California, Berkeley graduating with a degree in English Literature. Before becoming a full-time writer, he was a radio and newspaper reporter. He began as a liberal writer before transiting to a conservative writer during the Reagan Administration.
His crime writing career began by using the Pseudonym/ fictitious name of Keith Peterson. He wrote four John Wells mysteries and his first novel of psychological suspense, The Scarred Man. Klavan has written crime novels under his name and the Homelanders series for young adults. He wrote the Michael Caine film titled Shock to the System and the screenplay for the horror film titled One Missed Call.
