GARRY SHEAD
Garry Shead, who turns eighty this year, has been widely seen as one of Australias finest lyrical romantic painters of his generation. There is a softness and gentleness in his art a daydream quality where imagery from a closely observed local reality can seamlessly flow into fantasia. Animals, especially Australian native birds, kangaroos, emus and koalas, are not only anthropomorphised but adopt strong personalities and play a role in human affairs. The location in much of his art is unmistakably Australian, frequently set along the scrubby central coast of New South Wales or specifically around Bundeena in the Royal National Park, south of Sydney, where he has lived since , but the world evoked in these paintings resembles that of a dreamscape.
As a young man, Garry Shead absorbed the influences of numerous artists and experimented with different conventions of art making. He embraced a number of art forms, including filmmaking and printmaking, both of which he continues to practice professionally through to the present day. Albert Einstein Biography
Albert Einstein was born into a non-observant Ashkenazi Jewish family on 14 March in Ulm a city on the River Danube in what was then the Kingdom of Württemberg, in the German Empire. It is now in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. His parents were Pauline Koch and Hermann Einstein who was an engineer and a salesman.
Not long after Albert was born, in , the Einstein family moved to Munich where Hermann and his brother Jakob founded a company which manufactured electrical equipment. From the age of five, Albert attended a Catholic school in Munich and transferred to the Luitpold Gymnasium three years later. He continued his primary and secondary education there for the next seven years.

Set in the New South Wales south coast town of Thirroul, Apotheosis of D. H. Lawrence is part of a series of works painted by Garry Shead in response to the writings of Englishman David Herbert Richards D.H Lawrence (). He had discovered the authors work as a young man however it was not until later in life that the artist committed to a series of works based on Lawrences book, Kangaroo. When Shead began painting the series, he was living in Bundeena, just north of Thirroul, the small town where Lawrence had lived with his wife Frieda in whilst he penned the book. Sheads D.H Lawrence series of paintings can be seen as indirectly autobiographical; Shead is transposed into the figure of D.H Lawrence while Sheads wife, Judith, is represented by the figure of Frieda. The paintings are not narratives of the book nor are they experiences of Lawrence and Frieda - Sheads paintings convey the artists affinity to the book and Lawrences association to Thirroul. Of the D.H. Lawrence paintings, art historian Sasha Grishin noted:
